I haven't personally experienced breastfeeding in any other country but have sure breastfed alot in Australia in public. I have fed all my babies in public, mostly in coffee shops, and have never attracted any comments or problems. I have never felt uncomfortable. I want to make a point here though - I always fed my babies discretely. I always wore a top that meant I could feed from underneath so that I wasn't exposing too much of my breast - just a glimpse of skin on my back maybe. I think a lot of women ask for problems because they pull out their breast from the top and hang it all out where it's completely exposed. Yes, breastfeeding is normal, Yes we should be able to do it where ever, but breasts are still a part of our bodies that we don't need to flop out in public. I dont want to see anyone else's, and I don't expect anyone else to have to put up with mine in their face either. So, that's my opinion. I expect there will be plenty of people who don't agree with me.
